your arms hang down from your shoulders
to the floor,
your shoulders are slouched
there's nothing to do
there's nothing i want to do
i like when you do normal things
you're stupid, just like everyone is stupid , i'm stupid too
i like when you do dumb things
there's nothing to do but i'm not bored
i don't mind if you're bored
i like when you're bored
your arms hang down and your legs are crossed
don't think about anything
you don't have to
i like when you do nothing
i like to lie on the floor cause i can't do anything and i don't have to do anything on the floor, nothing on the floor
when you get up i hope you fall flat on your face and lie there on the floor
i'll be lying there too
and your arms will get those little marks from lying on the carpet for so long

Frankly, I go for bedroom recordings. Why... well, in such a setting with (usually) limited technical resources, the only way out is real good songwriting! And Tom Milsom aka "Gemini Eye" evidently has plenty of the required talent. "Alien Home" is a fun album with great lyrics and clever, ever-surprising song ideas, demonstrating that even a most tasty meal doesn't need more than simple ingredients. More favorite tracks besides "Home": "Charlie's Birthday Song", "A Little Irony", and "West Street". Sven B. Schreiber (sbs)
